Süddeutsche am Träumen
Die Herren Journalisten wissen es mal wieder besser und träumen lautstark vom Flug im nächsten Boeing-Flieger: http://www.sueddeutsche.de/automobil/artikel/615/125427/. Das Marketing der Amerikaner leistet ganze Arbeit und die Presse erfreut sich an einem neuen Stachel in die Wunde der Lieferverzögerungen beim A380. Unsere Ingenieure hocken derweil noch alle auf Bäumen und wissen nicht, wie man innovative Technik entwickelt. Solche objektiv sachlichen Artikel öffnen dem gemeinen Europabürger darüber endlich mal die Augen. Gut, dass wir solche Journalisten wie Herrn Spaeth haben. Ohne ihn wäre uns das Boeing Marketing-Geblubber glatt entgangen und wir wären weiter im Irrglauben geblieben, dass Innovation und Europa kein Widerspruch ist und auch in Amerika nicht alles so perfekt und golden ist, wie es uns die Presseabteilung von Boeing hier weißmachen möchte. Aber die technikhassende hiesige Journalie greift solche vorgeworfenen Stöckchen sofort auf. Nichts ist leichter, als die eigenen Industrie schlechtzureden und ihr alle Fähigkeiten abzusprechen. Romantische Verträumtheit von der perfekten Welt mit vogelartigem Anmut… klar, dass solche Phantasien nicht hier bei uns ihren Schauplatz haben können. Unsere Probleme kennt man, da passen solche Gedanken nicht hin.

It puts your application where they belong after plugging in the secondary monitor. Why should you put Skype, Adium or whatever you prefer onto the second screen if this nice tool can do it for you.

Crippled Keynote exports?
What do the Apple developers thought when adding the export functions to Keynote?
The only more or less sensible format is the HTML export. You loose all the animations and effects, but at least you can go backwards in the slides. In contrast though the Quicktime export either gives you a non-interactive video or there is no way to go back slides in the interactive mode. In PDF export a lot of transparencies are rendered in a wrong way, so reading certain slides with e.g. transparent PNGs is impossible. The Flash export creates nice animations. But how the hell do I go a slide back? Only left click has an effect, to go forward.
So, why do they cripple the export module so much? It’s such a fantastic application, but the export module must be bad joke, or a political decision at the expense of the user who want to publish slides on the web.
