makes the probability to increase considerable to find the right tool for a task after spending a whole lot of time in finding a solution yourself? Just by trying out Google’s new Blog search with a random search string that came to my mind in that moment, a forum posting suggested MediaCoder for handling 3gp movies. Of course this posting did not turn up when searching for 3gp conversion before on the usual Google. MediaCoder combines several OpenSource audio/video tools into one package, also MEncoder which I spend a nice Sunday afternoon with before. MediaCoder did somehow chose the right arguments for MEncoder to solve the conversion task from 3gp to XVid in a few seconds…
